Anorexia

Defined as prolonged loss of appetite or lack of desire for food despite having not eaten for an extensive amount of time and can be a side effect of a disease or medication. In some cases, anorexia may be accompanied by nausea. Also, anorexia nervosa is a psychological disorder where an individual is concerned with body image and weight gain so much so that they are not eating enough to survive. Most sufferers of anorexia nervosa are often afraid of being fat and tend to lose track of their eating habits causing damage to their bodies. 

Cannabis has been shown to stimulate appetite and alleviate discomfort in patients presenting with anorexia. For patients with anorexia nervosa, medical cannabis has been shown to help modulate eating behavior and restore healthy eating habits.
