Muscular Dystrophy

A group of complex diseases that affect the body’s muscular systems due to autoimmune damage. In muscular dystrophy, the body’s immune system attacks cellular coatings, or glia, resulting in a variety of symptoms including motor issues, anorexia, and insomnia.

Cannabis has been shown to be an immune modular and can help slow or even stop the progression of muscular dystrophy. While research is ongoing, many doctors and patients use cannabinoids as a way to alleviate muscular dystrophy symptoms.
